About
We’re planning to set off September 1st 2012 from Plymouth, then we’ll be going along the South Coast, along the East Coast heading North all the way up to Scotland as far as Inverness before heading back down South along the West Coast until we reach our starting location. The idea is great, the reality is very tough. We are looking at a journey of around now 3000+ miles, and why are we crazy enough to do this…?? Because we can! Planning and implementing an event on this scale is something that shouldn’t and cannot be taken lightly, it involves intricate planning, unknown stress levels, time and energy and funds but the feeling when it happens…WOW!! We are an ambitious team and we are sure this isn’t going to be the only time you’ll see us! We plan on doing regular events such as this, each time pushing ourselves further. As friends we gel into one unit and work extremely well with one another, knowing each other on a personal level of course helps, some of us have undergone different events in the past together. We will always have a good amount of banter as we live by the rule “get old but never grow up”. On this website you can keep up to date with our progress during training and preparation of our event. Once we depart you will be able to check daily where we are on our route. You can see who are sponsoring us with this event and of course donation facilities are available to help us and in turn helping worthy causes. If we pass your area on our route don’t be shy, come over and say hello and everyone is more than welcome to join us for a Cycle or a Run whilst in your area or more if you’re someone that would like to push themselves that little bit further alongside us……you can even have a picture taken with Paul, as he is the best looking team member!! Or bring water for the Team members as they’re bound to be thirsty often! Thank you for taking to time to read what Tour de Forces is all about, please click ‘here’ to find out how you can help further Any form of support will be gratefully received so let’s do this!
The “Tour de Forces” idea is no easy feat; the plan is to Cycle & Run around the Coastline of Great Britain… the long and harder way around!
